I got this call after I made a purchase from Walmart website, but my phone rang twice and hung up because I'm on the do not call registry (at least that's why I think it didn't go through). So unless Walmart's site has been hacked, it sucks to know I might have missed out on a gift card. On the other hand I hope their site hasn't been hacked that would be scary to know my info is out there.
The DNC is not a "call blocker". It is a list of phone numbers that legitimate telemarketers buy so that they can scrub their lists and not call you. I'm wondering how you didn't know that. You didn't miss out on anything, the "gift card" thing is a well known scam. Maybe you should start using the internet to learn things? Start here:

This illegal telemarketer is Creative Solutions Marketing out of Holiday Florida. They also go by the name Energize Marketing out of Clearwater even though they are the exact same people, I have received over 50 calls from these criminals so far.
One of the players is William Sam Huxley of 2020 NE Ridge Rd, Holiday, FL. He boasts online that he is a "Telephone Terrorist". His boss is Larry Lorentsen (also runs DTK Marketing) and the big boss is Nico Mercuris.
There is also one other in this crowd. Someone named Eddie Rivera who spun off and runs Imperial Marketing Group in the Tampa area. He used to work for Nico. Other small players are Edward Lopez and someone named Louise.
Now these clowns sometimes claim they are part of a website called goshopandsave.com - that domain is run by Global Travel International out of Clearwater. GTI also runs the "Julie with Rewards Redemption" robocall but they claim they abide by the law. Do I believe them? Well, I have enough recordings that seem to point otherwise. GTI has a history of bad business practices though they did actually provide me with a copy of their Do Not Call Policy as required by the laws under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
The self proclaimed telephone terrorist named William Sam Huxley (Holiday FL) has a long list of arrests... mainly cocaine, petty theft, domestic abuse, defrauding people, shoplifting, parole violations, etc. Nico is the big fish though.
A urge everyone who gets these calls to file a complaint with the Florida Attorney General's office against these people.
