A guy with thick middle eastern accent called asking for our Director of R/D. He told me he wanted to send our Director a white paper and would also like to talk to him about the white paper.
Same guy called another time asking for our Sr. R/D Manager. I proceeded to hang up on the guy and he called back 5 more times right in a row. I'm definitely ignoring his calls especially after I told him to remove us from his calling list!!!! Extremely frustrating and annoying people!!!
White paper ? Sure ... (sarcasm)
That caller wants to send a document loaded with malware, so that when your high-level employee views the document, it triggers an exploit that loads malware that gives the criminals access to your company's computer systems.
That website is registered by a proxy service in Australia but is hosted on servers in either the USA or the Virgin Islands. It was created on 2015-04-02, but seems to have had previous owners. Someone is trying to hide who they are from simple checking.
