A guy, named Tim, called and left a voice mail message stating he was out of state, lonely, and didn't want to bother anyone. Claimed he just wanted to talk ~ "one time". He stated he was 40 years old and didn't have any luck with women. Apparently his intention is to initiate obscene phone calls with women by hinting ~ "I want to do something." Reverse lookup indicates the cell number is in the vicinity of St Louis, Missouri and the carrier is AT&T. Phone company here indicates recipients of annoying phone calls from this number should call the police who will ultimately deal with this person.
I got 3 missed calls from this guy and one voice message left from him saying the same exact thing. He said he got my number from a website listing therapists in the United States. Do you know if they can stop him or if there is a way to block his calls?
Unless the phone calls get physically threatening, you will have to pay an extra fee to block harassing calls from any particular number ~ check with your phone company. Sometimes the phone company will set a "trap" at no charge. Filing a report/complaint with the police is the best bet for stopping these unwanted calls ~ as long as the police followup across state lines. Obviously, the person making these calls is leaving an incriminating track record on his phone bill. No question this person needs therapy along with jail time.
I got the same message last week and he called again today. I got my husband to call him and his real name is Joshua, not Tim. Hopefully he will no longer call me and from what I've read from other entries, he tends to stop calling the number when a man picks up. This guy is disgusting and needs to go to jail first, then some serious therapy with a male therapist!
If Tim's real name is Joshua, what is his last name? Until the police arrest this guy, he's going to continue his harassing calls. Provide the police with the information that will result in him being jailed and his group therapy will begin shortly thereafter.
