I have received about 4 calls now from this number in last 2 hours. It saying some crap about about an IRS lawsuit. I'm not calling the number back as I know this is complete BS, but the frequency of the calls is becoming quite annoying.
Bogus call claiming to be the IRS claiming they have a law suit against "you". They never mention who "you" is.
IRS notifies and is required to notify you by mail. Any collection company must also follow up with a written statement sent by US mail backing up their claims of any amount owed.
Please people, don't let these SCAMMERS STEAL YOYR MONEY!
Received a call from 314-449-8328 (from St. Louis) stating there is a lawsuit against me from the IRS for failing to pay all my taxes. I called back and spoke to a person who told me I owed $5897 in back taxes and wanted to know how much I could pay today or else I would lose my drivers license, bank account and maybe be put in jail. I told them I didn't have the money, and they offered to reduce my liability if I could pay today. Total scam. Beware!
