Called my wife's phone, ask her first name, she told her and then asked her last name, she said yes. Then the female caller hung up. Never give more than your first name. When you ok your first name ,stop the caller and ask WHO is calling. If they don't tell you ,hang up.Its a scam to collect your information.
They have also claimed to be with the Better Business Bureau to get information from business owners. Do not provide any information as they do not represent the BBB.
Scammer. Call back to verify and call disconnects without answering. Best guess is they "verify" your information and then send you a bill for the listing that you bought...what listing? EXACTLY. This is a pretty common scam that's been tried on my business many times over the past 5 years or so. The shadiest ones even record the call and then cut and splice the audio to make it look like you actually agreed to the listing.
Lady called as asked it the was "named my business" I repeated the name of my business and verified. She then asked if my address was . . . I asked who's called and why they needed address. She stated she was with the local chamber and verifying addresses - I asked another question, but she had hung up. I called my local chamber and they do NOT have anyone calling to verify addresses.
