Parents told me this guy called yesterday, here in St. Louis, and said their grandson (my nephew) had been in an accident in Iowa, under the influence, and needed $8,000 bail money to get out of jail, or at the very least, the 10% necessary - $800. All of this is untrue.
Parent got the guy who was extremely difficult to understand, to spell his name and give phone #. Number he gave over the phone began with area code 434 (Lynchburg, VA), but caller ID # is this one of 314-473-5317.
Parent called Jefferson City and reported it to the Atty. General's office, who said they would follow up on it.
