This is the second call I've received from this number. No message is left and when I return the call, this is what I get, "Thank you for calling; to speak to a representative, please press "0." Then I get a prompt that says, "Please hold while 'grasshopper' transfers your call to Extension 0." I then get a prompt to leave a message after the beep. My provider is CenturyLink and I cannot program this number into my system to block it. I left a message today (March 18, 2013) saying either call and leave a message, stop calling or I'd complain to the Missouri Attorney General.
If you listen to the message it says senior citizens are dying at an alarming rate blah blah blah and if you want a free life alert (or something like that) to press a certain number.....I goes on to say if you would like to stop receiving these calls press 5, you just have to tolerate the recorded information until you hear what # to press.
Just got the Call!....Thanks about blocking it...hope it works for me (CenturyLink)....we will see.
We let it go to the answer machine...but wonder of wonders...they didn't leave a message. We have found that leaving all messages go to the machine..amazing how many are phony....It was really bad leading up to the Election.
