No message called back and the name of the alledged business E-Check Recovery Service, and the woman I spoke with states she is fromSettlements and Claims Dept. The number 314-558-0551 is a Missouri number, however when I asked for a location and a mailing address, she said she was not calling from there as they have locations all over. Again I asked for a mailing address to send a Cease and Desist letter, since she said they will not send me a bill or verification. She explained she had sent it to a former address that I have not lived at for more than 8 years, still refused to send something to current address and refused to give me a mailing address. Did offer me a fax number, which in turn I refused. So she got nasty and said she/they will call me every day and the collection attempt will continue until I pay, I in turned said I would not pay for something they can not send me a notice of. So stalemate.....They can call every day and I will continue to ask for what is lawfully required of them to give, and since they are scammers and I am stubborn I guess there will be no action taken on this.
Sounds like the same creeps I talked to earlier this summer who I got in a shouting match with about the same issue. I told Ms. Harper that I would not pay someone who can't send me any information about what I owe and to which company since it was "past that point" and they had sent me final notice. Of course my address changed several years ago so they would have gotten a returned letter if they even sent anything. They are the scammers who say they have a claim attached to my social security number and turn me into the Sheriff's office if I am not mistaken. Anyone know of a legitimate address for this group? I don't want to engage them by phone since it is a complete was of time.
They keep asking me when I call back if a civil or criminal case in the county. No never been to Missouri they Tracey number and say they are calling to warn me of a criminal offense. What is that criminal offense? Debt from a bankruptcy 12 yer ars ago?
