Caller ID came in as Wells Fargo PS. They left no message but I have recieved so many calls from "Wells Fargo" all with different phone numbers and area codes. The one call I did take, they asked for my husband. I said he was unavailabl and asked what the call was about. He asked when was a better time to call back. I asked again what this was about, he hung up on me. I am considering calling Wells Fargo to see what is going on. Also the calls seem to come in between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.
Received a call from this number near 9 PM which I believe is illegal to make telemarketing calls after 8:30 PM. This is the second time I have been called near 9 PM from an unfamiliar number and both times they left no message and both had area codes from Missouri.
Your experience is almost exactly what just happened when I answered. Except when I said, "he's not available" and he asked when would be a better time, I said "well, that depends" and then he said "thank you for your time" and hung up. I'm going to call WF, too!
The calls are from CPP North America (http://www.cppna.com/) on behalf of Wells Fargo. At some point you agreed to be contacted by third party affiliates of Wells Fargo and need to talk with them about making a change to your account preferences.
