I received this call also, no message on my answering machine, and NEVER push a number on your keypad after the caller or recording asks you to do this, that could transfer you to a long distance number you'll have to pay for. The best thing is to hang up or tell the caller if they answer, your on the Government "Do not call list" and not to call again. if your not on the Government call list register for it it's free.
You mean the same Canadian do not call list that anyone can buy for ten bucks? The Canadian do-not-call-list is a joke and is not law, it is purely optional and some of the scammers buy the list just to get your phone number.
Another thing, these scammers are run by organized crime and don't give a damn about any call list. Do as I do, monitor all calls and only respond to those you know or are expecting, all others do not trust and do not respond to.
