Obvious scam- a voice with a foreign accent claimed they were from some government entity I never heard of, and they were giving me $4000 that I never had to pay back, and wanted to know if I wanted it wired to my bank account, credited to a card, etc. I asked a few more questions. The lady said she'd give me her manager's number, and i could call right back to confirm this offer- but she needed to verify my information first. She had my address, but had the zip wrong. i told her she's nuts if I am giving her my information. Real quickly, she said, "if you won't verify your information, we'll assume you aren't interested" and hung up.
I have received several phone calls daily from this phone number 3146295641. The person calling is foreign and states that I was chosen by the government to receive 7,000 free money with no tax, penalties of interest attached. She then preceded to ask me for my personal information; confirmation of my address, phone#, age, criminal record, credit history. I asked her why this information is needed if the government has already chosen me to receive this free money. She then gave me a confirmation tracking# and asked me to call this number 2063171390 and speak with her manager Albert Barkes. Red Flag; nothing is free... will block # for any future calls.
Got a call from this number mentioning this is Government call from washington. I was chosen by the government to receive 7,000 free money with no tax, penalties of interest. He then preceded to ask whether I want this money in to account or cash and confirmation of my last, phone number and asked for my age. After all this he mentioned I have to call 2025848451 and provide my approval to his manager to get the number.
I don't see any such program in internet as Govt giving money for paying tax on time. Not sure wht they are trying to do... so avoided calling to the number he provided.
Same issue as the rest.. claiming to give me $7000 cash. Gave them work address and no other info execpt my age.. No return calls yet made but obvoius thats its a scam.. Beware
