Received a call to our land line from this number a few minutes ago. Caller ID: Unavailable. I answered the call anyway. After I said "Hello" there was no response. I did not repeat my "Hello." After a few seconds a male came on the line and said "Hello." I replied with "Hello." (Sure sign of a robo call.) I listed to the man's spiel for the "American Veterans Support Foundation" without saying anything. When he asked if they could depend upon a donation, I said "I can't say so. It's an organization with which I am not familiar. Thank you." Then I hung up. Then I did a search on the organization name and reports they claim to be associated with the National Vietnam Veterans Foundation and complaints on questionable fund raising.and most of the money they raise going to the fund raising companies they hire and only a small percentage of the funds raised going to actual U.S. military veterans or organization.
I called the number.. Found out it's for Foundation for veterans. I requested them to take my number off there robo call list. Yeah, I was kinda rude too. I told them that their call woke up my Kids from their nap.....And they did BTY~!
I received a call from this number this morning... As stated above, the guy said he was raising money for the wounded veterans foundation. The guy sounded sketchy, so I told him I was unable to help. Then, he gave me two options (both involving monetary donations) and asked which option worked best for me. So I REITERATED that I didn't have any money because I was in between jobs (I'm not), and he responded with "Can you be counted on for at least $10.00?" Dude, wtf did I just tell you!??? I probably should have hung up on him; but it's Sunday, and I didn't want to be rude... What a tool...
