We acquired this phone number about two years ago from T-Mobile. We should have made sure to check the history of the number first before agreeing to accept it. It probably doesn't matter much now, but I'll remember that next time.
I can't see why Carlos E. Jean-Gilles would announce publicly on the internet that this is his personal phone number. But he did, so you may as well know who he is and what kind of trouble to expect if you are getting a call from this number.
Carlos is a wanna-be writer, an internet bully and a scam artist who always has at least one fake "business" going at any time. The main purpose of these fake businesses is to deny his actual status as an unemployed welfare mooch by declaring himself to be the CEO of something, but he also doesn't hesitate to devise ways to scam people out of money with these businesses if he can. One of his previous fake businesses was called "Fosbo International" and claimed to be an office supply company specializing in printer cartridges. Although he claimed to have run this business for about ten years, there isn't any evidence that he ever had any clients, ever made any sales, or even had access to a single printer cartridge. His current fake business is called "Jean-Gilles Associates" and Carlos is the only employee, as usual. What Jean-Gilles Associates does, if anything, is unclear.
One of his scams that he has been pulling on and off for several years now has been on the "Facebook Help Center" section of Facebook. Carlos claims to be a "Social Media Expert" (among his many other titles) and attempts to charge people money to answer their questions in the Help Center, which is an open forum where users attempt to assist each other with Facebook tech support issues (since Facebook itself provides no assistance of any kind). Aside from the fact that charging people money for Facebook tech support is against the Facebook terms of service, Carlos adds insult to injury by the fact that most of his "answers" are wrong, insulting and rude. He often argues with and harasses people who dislike his answers. For awhile, he was claiming to be the "Top Contributor" on the Facebook Help Center, until it was revealed that his 10,000+ "Best Answers" had been falsely inflated using alternate accounts and an exploit that Carlos had discovered which allowed him to award unlimited numbers of "Best Answers" form a single question thread. He was even banned from the Help Center at one point, but circumvented the ban by switching his banned personal account into a "page" on Facebook, while switching a bogus fan "page" he had set up for himself into an account, thereby giving himself a new personal account with a clean slate.
Carlos often threatens people with lawsuits and sometimes follows though on these threats. He most recently attempted to sue his own sister. His lawsuit was ridiculous and nonsensical, which is why it was "DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE" by the court before it ever went to trial. Carlos himself also gets sued fairly frequently, usually for not paying his bills. When he sues someone else, he talks a big game about it before he eventually loses the case. When someone sues him, he just chooses not to show up for the court date and gets a summary judgement ruled against him for failing to show up.
Long story short, if you get a call from this number, DON'T ANSWER. Trouble is on the other end of the line!
