Aaron calls stating that I defaulted on a debt, and that the police are coming to arrest me. Since I work for a collection agency, I know my rights under the FDCPA and I ask him to fax or mail me copies of the documentation. Of course, he refuses to do so and continues to badger me. He said that I would need an attorney to keep me out of jail. It's all a scam and these types of scams are all over "Ripoff Report".
Received a call from individual identified as Officer Daily. Advised I had a loan in December which in default. He then transferred me to his supervisor, who did not identify himself. I was advised amount of 689.00. and was given a case file. He advised an officer would be coming to my work with an arrest warrent. He then asked if I'd like to avoid this and take care of this now. When asked to send me information or give me til tomorrow to check out; he advised I needed to hurry to stop the arrest. I hung-up on the individual. The caller gave me all of my information, work address, social security number, and bank account information. I have contacted bank, US Attorney's office.
This number is owned by an "older" man who "picked up" the young girl I have living in my home. He met her on a teenager chat site, and the talked for a couple of months (unknown to me until last week). He had started requesting that they meet in person. I consider him a pedophile...be warned if you have children in the home!
