I believe she said "Civil Investigation Unit"... it wasn't for me, but someone in my house. I just told them that was not his number and they said "ok" and hung up. Did not sound legit. I tried to call back and it kept ringing with no type of answer at all.
I received a call from 323-205-1693 yesterday stating that I was being served a subpoena and if I would be home tomorrow between the hours of 9am-4pm. I told the woman no and who was this, as she never identified what company she was calling from? She preceded to give me another phone number to call to get more info. 855-889-8232- I call this number and immediately placed on hold- just hearing elevator music. A man comes on the line stating that he is an attorney and that I am being served a subpoena tomorrow between 9a-4pm. I started asking him questions about who the company is that he is calling from, why am I being subpoenaed, etc. I demanded more information because I have a perfect credit score and could not understand how "someone was trying to collect a loan I had taken out in 2011"- (so he claimed). He then said, "If this debt is not rectified today, the subpoena would be mailed tomorrow." I stated, "the courts don't warn people that they are to be subpoenaed, they just show up." He then hung up on me.
My issue is that a family member of mine called me stating that the same person called her house looking for me. How did these people get access to my family members, some of my old addresses and the last 4 digits of my ss#. I know this is a scam but to harass people for no reason makes no sense to me and I want them reported. Does anyone know how to go about reporting these scammers?
Called me on my cell phone and said they have been trying to delivery legal papers to my address and would I be home tomorrow from 9 to 4. I said no and he said to write down a number I told him I was driving so no I couldn't write a number down he said can you pull over, I said no I'm not, he said well how are you talking on your phone I said I have Bluetooth. He said he will let them know he spoke with me and good luck..
Called my husband looking for me. Told him that they wanted to know when I would be home to delivery court documents. They would not tell him what their name was or what company. They also wouldn't tell him what this matter was. Told my husband it was a scam and to tell them to F off.
Called and said she was "so and so" and were calling for "my name" to deliver documents on Monday between 9 and 4 and if they were speaking with "My name" so I just didn't say anything and hung up, came here and voila!!!
So, laugh at them and then press the 5 key and hold it, will make a loud noise on their end LOL

They called my cell, my husband cell and home phone. Stating they had a court case someone would be delivering me papers pertaining to the case. Even giving me a case number. Wow
