ProtectYourself!
A man from this number called and left a threatening message. I called back to find out why and was told I was being sued but they would not say who was suing me or what the issue or debt was. They DID want my social security number!!! When i refused, they hung up.  I reported it to the phone/internet company & was told it was actually overseas call masked as a call from the US & that it is a common-and sadly successful scam.
Beware! Don't give your personal info, black the calls and REPORT them!

Don't believe you, Kevin.  If you received such a message and had such a "good" experience why are you here?  Why would you go to a web site to determine who called, if you already know who called and you've already "sealed the deal?"  The truth is, Kevin dear child, you are a Shill.  You attempted a preemptive strike so that people would feel warm and fuzzy when they looked up this number.

So SHilly, what's the name and address of this wonderful debt collector?  Where can we find their office?  Where are their licenses displayed?

Don't be fooled by SCAM debt collectors.  Read the FTC's advice here:

Some Tips:

*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time, date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.
