Claimed to be an officer investigating a case with the irs, let's see, California time was 5:40am at the time of the call, here in VA after 8am so even if I didn't know the its doesn't contact people by phone... Super Red Flags go up on this call.
Also got a fraudulent call from this number. It was a recording, allegedly from the IRS, saying to call back before they initiate action. I did a little research and certainly won't be returning that call.
Gentleman claimed we owe back taxes from a 7 year audit. I'm being sued by IRS. They stopped by my house. They have notified me. They were sending someone to my house to arrest me. He didn't ask for money, but claimed we owed. He suggested I get a criminal attorney. I would be taken before a judge. (He couldn't pronounce judge. He spoke with an accent and was difficult to understand.) Very persistent that I was going to be arrested, and owed money. He was waiting for me to ask for a way out of it. I ended with OK and hung up. ( I hope they find and arrest whoever is behind this scam!)
Received call on my cell and land line from 323-287-5807 claiming to be IRS. Message IRS going to take action
(lawsuit) against me. Both calls went to voice mail.
