Call from someone calling himself David Johnson, claiming he called from the Legal Affairs Department of the US Treasury. What's most upsetting is that they are probably targeting people who are vulnerable for a variety of reasons. It made me upset, which is hard to do. Usually I have fun with scammers and we both hang up laughing. Not this time. The guy was rude and started challenging me. I informed him I was a lawyer and that he needed to give me more information about why my husband would be involved in the legal action he claimed had been mounted against him. He then challenged me in return and asked me for my bar number. It got stupider and stupider, until finally he told me I'd messed with the wrong guy, and that he'd have an officer of the law at our door within 2 hours, and they would put my husband behind bars.

He never told me what the action was, though he claimed that "certified notice" had been sent to my husband, and there had been no response.
