I received a call from a KATE WEST about a debt so I called back then I was transferred to a JASON KLEIN who has a direct number to be reached at (323-302-4643) about a debt involving Wells Fargo Bank, (but I had already paid off my debt directly at Wells Fargo bank) they insisted that I owed them money that totaled $1,000+ and that they were willing to cut the debt by half, but my debt with Wells Fargo bank was not even close to the amount they were telling me it was less than $100!! They said that I needed to make a stipulation agreement to cut the $1000+ done to half but with the email they sent of the paperwork it doesn't give detail to what the debt is about and payment options until I saw another attachment asking for credit card information
Just listened to a message from Jacob Kline at 323-302-4643, took four listening to the message to get the number, it was the same one he had called me on. I paid off the credit card in 06 at .40 cents on the dollar. Couldn't take it off my taxes so who knows where it is. I used to have a credit card with the company, was bought out by Household bank,(Metris) Started last summer with 35,000.00 Limit on the card was 10,000.00, in my state three years is the statue of limitations for collecting on a non-secured debt. You might want to check your states law. Basically it's a scam, they won't give you a physical address, will
annoy you to no end, or your parents. Tell your parents not to worry, it is a civil matter, not criminal, they can serve you with a summons and take you to court. Last Time a company called Lincoln called me wanting to know when I would be home so they could serve me a summons, my response was fine. and they hung up. Stopped it for about nine months.
