Called and said "we are sending out the new manuals and need your copier model" and I have experienced these scams before and i will say "ok just a sec" and put them on hold and never pick back up. DO NOT GIVE ANYONE YOUR COPIER INFO, they will send you toner based on what model you have and try to send you really expensive supplies. The company you rent from when knows what model you have. If you do give out your info by mistake monitor your deliveries and refuse packages you don't recognize!!!!!!
They called today with some bs about sending me the manual to our copier. So I asked what copier that might be and he said a Canon. I said, try again, we don't have a Canon, please put us on your do not call list. Our company has never in its history owned a Canon and thankfully I know that. The stupid [***] called back and has the nerve to tell me that our company "sounds liked a bogus [***] business" and hung up. What jerks!
Extremely pushy caller asking for serial number off our machines which is fraud and our experience in the past. Never give out your devices serial numbers to unknown callers. If you have an account or lease with anyone they have this information already. He harassed and stated his was going to pick up our machine which I said your more than welcome to as I knew he was a scam. He cursed a storm then hung up on me....
I've received several calls from this number. They represent themselves as Ricoh and ask me for the number on the front of my machines and to update our address. I'm pretty sure they are trying to trick us into buying toner. We have a contract though that provides the toner. When I push them for information they give a bit of a run around. When the woman called today I asked her if she knew that this number showed up in 800notes.com as a scam. She hung up on me. Good times! I love screwing with scammers (as long as the work load is light).
Called my law firm saying the toner prices went up last month but that they could send me one at the lower price. Asked what company they were with (cuz I know who I get my toners from) and he said Sharp. I told him I don't order from Sharp. He was I obviously wasnt in charge and to connect him to the office manager, (which I am). Then he hung up.
I called my leasing company who confirmed it wasnt them calling and that they are scammers.
They just called me - April James - saying they needed our copier and printer information. I said I didn't want to provide it. She said they needed it. I said I didn't understand why I should give it to her. She yelled "Are you that dumb??" and hung up on me. Fun times.
