Yes, unfortunately this nightmare will take time to fix, but PLEASE, take action against this company!
Do three things:
1. Register your numbers at www.donotcall.gov
2. File a complaint at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
3. Contact the TV channel were you originally saw the commercial and report this company.
Do not allow this company to continue malpractice and harassment.
This is a Spanish speaking (only) Telemarketing Organization out of Los Angeles California. They have TV infomercial on the the Spanish TV.
They are trying to sell a Phoney Magical Cream that once you apply it to your waist, in a matter of 30 minuets or so it would dissolve the fat magically and you would literary loose over 8 inches of your waist line,becoming skinny within minute. Before you buy that, I have a very nice Tower in Paris and a great Bridge in Brooklyn that I can sell you very cheap :-) .
When they show this stupid program, they indicate that the first 300 callers will get 3 months worth of this Cream for free. As you can imagine a great number of innocent people call to be among this 300. Unfortunately for you or them, no phone would be answered buy a live operator, only a computer would say that your number has automatically been registered and an Agent will call you back.
This is the point that your NIGHTMARE begins. They would call all the time, morning, night,even Sundays at 8.00 AM. First the Computer would dial the phone and either silence or a horrible music and Spanish message waiting would start. So you are not even pron if your Answering Machine Clicks on, eating through your limited time of messages. By the way be careful because if you Forward your calls to your cell when you leave home, their Computer will automatically detect your cell number and would also start calling your Cell......Wow!!!
By the way do not waist your breath and health by trying to explain to them that they should not be calling you. I have personally tried just about any thing you can imagine, including, trying nicely to explain to them in English and Spanish, Asking for supervisor, causing them in English an Spanish, talking calmly getting mad to the point of having a heart attack, etc... etc... Once I even convinced them to have the Supervisor calling me back and when he did again for the 500 th time I explained the whole thing. He apologized for 10 minutes and promised that I will never get another call again. Well after only three days the calls started again!!!
Just add me to the list of annoyed victims. Got a new cell phone from AT&T and happened to fall into their trap. Now I get all these calls and have called AT&T, but they tell me there is nothing they can do but to change my number. Is this the right thing to do?? Somke other poor soul will inherit the number and start getting the calls.
It seems that the deadbeat that had the number before me was also being followed by bill collectors too. My cell minutes are being wasted on crap calls and NOTHING can be done??
About time the wonderful government got these guys by the transmitters and started squeezing!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, these calls are frustrating. Always come at a bad time too, not like there is a "good" time for them to call. I am going to take the only steps I can (outlined by SAM) and hope they go away! Thanks SAM for the info. At least now I know its not spanish people looking for drugs or anything, recently switched my number and for a while I thought it used to be a drug dealers number from LA.
Sam, I hate to dissapoint you. I have never called this number before, deliberately nor accidently. If, as is reported, this is a telemarketing group, they are getting our numbers from a list that they either bought or stole. Again, I have never called this number, period. I know because my phone equipment records the numbers I dial and reeive.
