Beginning this morning, members began receiving text messages stating, “RE: State Employees' CU. Please contact us 24/7 at (323) 382-3840” or phone calls in which the caller asks the member to verify his/her debit card number. Do NOT give any information. SECU will never try to contact you via text message or email. If you have given your information, please call your local CU and let them know. You will need to be issued a new card immediately.
Received a text message stating it was from the 'Navy FCU' and I was to call the number 24/7. Called the number and it is a female voice saying that it was 'card services'. Never stated card services with whom and never mind that I do not have an account with the Navy FCU. (Note: My parents do.....????) The female on the phone was requesting a card number. Just hung up.
