The only way this is likely to see real govenment effort to stop it, is if a few major corporations with thousands of phone lines and employees were to calculate the lost time, translate that into dollars and publicize it. Then there would be real incentive to have action taken.
Called to speak to business owner, for growth opportunity. I asked what company she was calling from; after having to ask her 3 times, finally she said Merchant Funding. I told her I was on the Nat'l Do Not Call Registry, and that she needed to stop calling me. In a rude voice, she told me she would take me off their list, then she hung up on me.
