Just received a call from this number. The connection was very bad, but the guy on the other end said that he was calling from some department at Microsoft and told me that my Microsoft computer has been attacked repeatedly over the last few days and Microsoft wanted to check on this with me. The connection was so bad that I could only make out every other or third word that the man said (and his thick accent didn't help either). I asked him to call me back from another phone, as I know that there is nothing wrong with my phone. We'll see if he calls back.
I should have added this to my last post, I called the number back and an automated message from Verizon said that the number has been disconnected, changed, or is no longer in service. Strange.
