I called the number back without talking and I was able to hear other people working the phones. The person who answered didn't identify himself or the company, he just said "can I help you?" several times. I'm glad I didn't engage in a conversation. Do the same, block the number!
Tired of these calls? Here's my plan to "give back". All you need is a computer with a fax modem. USB fax modems are available from Amazon for less than $20. Then let your computer return some of these calls.
Simply create a document in a word processor and then print it to your fax queue. You will be asked what number the fax modem should call. Make the document at least 20 pages long. You can generate an empty 20 page document by simply adding 19 page breaks. If you have a message you would like to send, insert it between the page breaks. This document will work for any phone number but your message will only be seen if you send it to another fax machine. The sci-freak headquarter's fax number is 1-323-960-3508. You will probably want to send several copies of your document.
But don't stop there. You can also send this fax to a non-fax phone number. Queue up a lot of copies of your document to the other numbers listed below. Your fax modem will just keep dialing the numbers over and over and over. Sound familiar?

I keep being called by these people again and again on a regular basis. I have told them in no uncertain terms that I'm not interested in their organization and that the calls need to stop but these people apparently don't understand english. We've even threatened them with legal action but that still does not discourage them from calling, so I guess it looks like I will have to get my lawyer involved. I've blocked at least 15 or 20 of the phone numbers that they call from but this really doesn't do much good, since they keep calling from different numbers all the time. What I don't get is why they would keep calling someone who has clearly said they are not interested and who wants nothing to do with them. Talk about desperate. Sometimes the calls will stop for a couple of months but I always know that down the line I will eventually hear from them again. Very annoying.
I have been telling these Scientology people for 10 yrs. I am not interested and do not want them to call me anymore. They send me literature and phone all the time. I have told them whats wrong with you?? NO.... PLEASE stop calling. but they still do. Its been ten years they have been doing this.
I don't understand why Scientology suddenly has started calling me a few weeks ago. I told them multiple times that I wasn't interested, yet they keep calling from different numbers. They don't actually identify themselves, but rather claim to be updating a record of some sort and claim that I have a lifetime "membership". What's really unnerving is that they know where I've lived for the last 20 years, my older phone numbers and of course my name. As other people have pointed out, what they do makes no sense: I'm not interested and the more they call me the more I hate them. I've reported them to the FCC but of course we know our government is too busy illegally spying on us to be bothered dealing will scammers and other corporate criminals.
