A nice sounded said they wanted to confirm information about online applications I had made for jobs. They had me spell pit my first and last name. Then they asked what year a graduated. When I was a senior and hadn't graduated, they hung up.

This is one of many local numbers that some "This is on a recorded line for quality purposes. Can you hear me now?" scammers use to try to steal my identity & use my voice to accept charges to accounts or to confirm contracts, promises, etc. that I didn't make them. I was born in the afternoon, but I'll only say that it wasn't yesterday afternoon. I'll leave out my age, birth date, etc. as that only supplies bits of identity information to potential scammers and other identity thieves. I googled for trending phone scams and learned that it is a scam to get your identity and a voice recording of you saying "yes" so that they can more completely learn &use your identity including your voice to rip you off.) Do not answer it to this number. I don't answer unknown numbers even from my area code unless I was expecting an important call from that area code as this and other phone scams seem to be hitting my area in large numbers. I was expecting an important call and answered it. It turned out to be one of those "can you hear me clearly" scammers wanting to ask me questions about healthcare, to which I hollered in reply to the question with a stern tone, "No! Quit trying to con me! I'm going to the police with this and the other numbers I saved that you called me from!", hung up and saved the number giving it a designation of "Scammer # ... WARNING! DO NOT ANSWER YES OVER THE PHONE IF ASKED "CAN YOU HEAR ME CLEARLY" OR ANY OTHER YES/NO QUESTION TO ANYONE (unless you personally know the person or the company and they are reputable and legit)! IT IS A SCAM!
