A PROFESSIONAL WOULD SAY I'M SO & SO AND I'M WITH SUCH & SUCH WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER OR PERSON IN CHARGE OF ETC.
I AM THE OWNER & I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE FOR THE SIMPLE REASON MY EMPLOYEES ARE " A " BUSY WORKING & " B " NOT ABLE TO DEAL WITH THESE INCONSIDERATE NON TRAINED INDIVIDUALS, IF THEY WOULD USE SOME COMMON COURTESY & ARE NOT TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE I ASSURE YOU THEY WOULD GET MUCH FURTHER THAN THE SIMPLE HANG UP THAT I GAVE THEM. I had the same experience as "Sick and Tired of Idiots" - had to ask 3 times before I got a name - first name only - then a company - a natural gas reseller. I had quite a conversation with her about calling etiquette - give your name, business name and why you are calling. I told to her to hang up and call back the correct way. What a waste of money for the marketing company - and a total waste of my time!
I am tired of getting those awful telemarketing calls too! They are just trying to scam. And as you mentioned, they have a terrible approach and indeed if I have a ? about my bill I will call the proper # not their 330#!
These people make me ill - "I need to speak with the person who handles the Dominion East Ohio Account and tell them to have a copy of the bill with them when they call, I need to update the account". Seriously, come on you telemarketers - we were not born yesterday!!! Stop trying to pull scams on us! It make work with some - not going to work with us!!! You will not get through to the person who handles our accounts, nor will your messages ever get through to that person. We do take messages from scam artists!! Sorry!!!!! Get a real job where you do not have to try to scam people to make your living!!!!! 330-237-6853 is the number they are calling from.
Have received a couple calls from this number in regard to my gas bill. The caller left a message saying I needed to call immediately about an "adjustment" to my bill. When I called back I got an answering service but quickly got a call from "Amanda". When I told her the number that she had called was not associated with a gas account she told me she would remove it but then went on to try to get me to switch to her company. When I pushed her she quickly sent me to her "Supervisor" who proceeded to berate me that I needed to switch gas companies immediately. After some questioning he said he was with Quake Energy. He quoted me a very low rate on the phone which does not match either the Quake Energy website or Dominion's comparison so I suspect he may not have represented Quake at all.
