Constantly calls regarding my "Columbia Gas" account. 'Funny because I live in an All-Electric Home (since 2003) in an All-Electric neighborhood --I have no "Gas" service here!
They are scam. I yell at them when they call. They want to convince you that your contract is ready to expire and wish for you to get your bill out and talk to them and try to convince you that the utility is going to be shut off and try to get you to pay by credit card to renew the contract and all that does is switch gas suppliers. It is fraud all the way. They just called me about a half hour ago and I yelled at them. None of our utility contracts are set to expire and I would never get out the bill and read numbers to them off our bill nor give them a credit card number. Crooks.

I am correct with my info. I've gotten this call before. It is a scam phone call. Yes, they do ask for copy of bill and no, you should not give that to them. They do try to convince you that your contract is ready to expire and that they are going to shut your gas off. I know because even though I've told them to stop calling they keep calling. We are not going to switch gas suppliers. End of story.
