I received this call today at about 5:30pm. I answered and was given a long story about the cops for kids. The man was very pleasant and friendly UNTIL I told him I had sent a check earlier this month to cops for kids. He got very short and basically hung up on me. I tried to keep him on the line to get info, as to why they didn't have this information on their records. He did say "I'll check with my supervisor" and then he hung up. Wondering if I should report to my local police department.
I believe a Computer system has been set up on this number because it does ring constantly busy. I think it dials numbers and if you answer that number gets set to the side for a person to end up calling because the number gets listed as active.
Fair warning folks I think this is going to lead to a scam coming your way. Lotf os (330) 244-* are related to Telemarketers.
