Been getting calls saying my name # ss# may be linked to investigation. Sounds official, but get same or similar calls from other untraceable numbers, too. Spam.
Just got a voice mail from them saying the samething that there's a financial transaction and my name and ss # is under investigation to call them back so I did called them back and told the lady I had a miss called from them and put me on hold and left me waiting...
Not sure exactly what they said, but they told me they were gonna investigate the matter, but if I'd like to speak to someone first to press whatever. Kept putting me on hold, but never told me what's going on.not sure what they were trying to get from me, but when he came back and asked me if I still lived at an address in wrong state, then figured something was up. He seemed busy, but thinking he's just starting out.hopefully whatever he's trying to get only gets him.
Same thing name, number and social linked to an investigation with no company or contact person on recording. I don't answer calls I don't recognize anymore.
