They are on my block caller list. I have gotten 5 to 6 calls from them a day. So, I finally called them and told them I didn't want them to call me anymore. She asked me if a so and so (I can't remember the name) lived here and I said no and the stupid woman asked me if I was sure it wasn't my daughter. I told her I think I would know my own daughters name! Stupid person. Then she told me the address of this person and I said that is not my address. Then she asks me if I know this person!! So, two hours later, I get another call from them. Now I am royally pissed. So I call them back and the woman I talked to told me that they have to keep calling and get told that it is a wrong number for said person 3 times before they quit calling. The stupid one from the first time never even put down that it was a wrong number. She said it is with in the law to do it. I am still reporting them.
They have been calling me for about two weeks, 2 - 3 days a week. I never answer calls that do not identify the caller, but they call early in the morning which is very annoying. Is there anything to be done to stop them? I am not going to answer and tell them that they've reached the wrong person/number three times; it's ridiculous to put the onus of "proof" on the person they're calling! They need to verify their information before they call. (I clearly have the previous phone number of someone who owes a lot of debts; I've had it for 5 years, and still get collections calls for the previous "owner" of my phone number on a weekly basis.)
Does anyone know how to block a caller from a landline phone?? Thanks!
