ok got this phone call several times.. Asking for my SS#, and then account #. I said to them "WHO ARE YOU?" they are Sams Club and that I had a DISCOVER card., I said I do not have a discover card. Ending up my friend has a buisiness, so thru his company we get Sams card, and I have a Sams card to go there to get groceries. Well, they called me instead of the OWNER of the membership @ Sams. Really ticks me off. Because of the way they are operating.
Got a robo call from this number half an hour ago. It does appear to be a collection agencey for GE sponsored Sams Club/Discover. We now owe them a whopping $40 because someone dropped the ball and didn't cash the $15 account pay off check last month. Other family and friends' past experiences with Discover illustrates that anything connected with overdue payments tends to boot you directly into collections after a nasty late fee. So guess what card is getting canceled today?
