Got a call from this number yesterday. Wanted to verify my name and address. I asked who he was with and what this was concerning. He told me it was concerning an industry newsletter, and after a few questions admitted that, yes, there is a fee. I stopped him and told him I wasn't interested, and to remove my number. This morning at 11am I get another call. Didn't answer. Don't give these people any info whatsoever. SCAM.
Caller asked to speak to a sales manager, I told her we have several sales department and asked her if she knew which department she was looking for, she then mentions the name Michael, regarding he should be the manager but she don't seem to remember his last name. I told her a last name will help me narrow the search if she can provide it, then she mentions Michael is the VP of sales (notice how he went from manager to VP) and I should know which one that is. Wow! They sure do a good job making things up as they go along with the conversation. "Use a common name and there's bound to be someone who works there with that name", is what alot of telemarketers do. She asked me if she reached the main office but then suddenly decides to ask for the main number instead. I gave her the number and then she just hangs up right after. She probably wants to call back and get another person who might transfer her over to someone she wants without going through all the questions we usually ask.
I believe this caller bought my phone number from a college. I never get telemarketer calls and I just gave my phone number to ITT TECH... I bet ITT TECH sold my number to this company.

Have been calling the past week, couple times per day. Since a call from "Warren, OH" is not out of the realm of a client's office, I picked up the first time. When caller asked for "the person in charge of business development or sales, who would that be? would that be you?" I answered with a quick "one moment, and transferred to a voice mailbox" (Cardinal Rule of a gatekeeper: NEVER NEVER NEVER give out a name.) No message was left. Have been calling multiple times daily since then ... I ignore the call now, and there's never a message. Doesn't matter to me/us what they're selling or willing to send us "complimentary". 85% of the calls that come in on the switchboard are cold call sales / scammers/ spammers/ phishers, so there's a boat load of empty voice mails :-)
