me too. we keep getting phone calls. I try to trace and end up with a web site requesting money to tell me info. I will report that site and phone number. meanwhile, I have a very loud whisle for the next caller.
Rec'd calls from phone numbers 330-479-0006/0009/0011, unknown & private callers. All calls were hang-ups, no messages left. Calls were made several times a day at various times. This went on for several weeks. Then my house was broken into!! I had an alarm system and the police were immediately dispatched. The calls have now stopped since the break-in. Makes me wonder if they were calling and after 2 weeks of no answers (I do not answer phone calls that I do not recognize the caller - I let my machine take those calls), then sent someone to break into the house. If this happens again, there will be another surprise for the intruders!
We have received these called 2x a day for several weeks. Initially we did not pick them up but after a few days, we started to. Then they would hang up. Finally, tonight, someone talked and said they were from the March of Dimes and I told them to remove me from whatever list I am on or I would contact the police. She tried to lie and state that a week ago my husband offer to help them mail out packets and again I repeated that she need to stop calling and remove our name from the list or we would contact the police. She agreed. We will see if the calls actually stop.
multliple calls from 1-330-479-0009. Usually the person hangs up as soon as I answer. Today, I grabbed the phone quickly, and there was 'Muzak'-type background music for a few seconds, then a hangup. No voices.
they call using first numbers and the last numbers change from 0009,0002,0010 started started 1/08 happens a couple of times a day.
when i answer they hang up. will be reporting this to my phone company.
How did you block it? We just got a call from 330-479-0009. I call it and it says it's disconnected. At anywho.com it says David Patterson in Canton OH. My husband says there have been several hang ups today.
We never answer unless we know who it is, the answr machine says the ID readout out loud and it also shows on our TV screen so we will continue to not pick up.
Has EVERYONE reported the # to donotcall.gov,those who are signed up there? The site takes complaint reports and doesn't act but gathers info and something may happen later if they get a lot of reports.
