The caller from this number claimed to be a representative of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The number came up on my caller ID as being the Stark County (Ohio) Public Library. I called the library who told me they have no association with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and that they have the phone company and law enforcement working to determine who has hijacked their number.
received a call from this number this morning around 10:42 CST. I live in the Chicago area... Kids picked up phone, woman (she sounded young) asked for me by name. Said she would call back later. Have no idea why anyone would call me from this number.
just called number, which IS the library. They have received over 40 calls from all over the country about this since this morning. Someone has "stolen" their number. Law officials are on it.
