oooh, k. I Never answer the phone without knowing who it is.
The caller id said Gary Wayble, Don't know him. Anyone wanting me, can leave a message and I'll call back if it's legit.
Thanks to this site, now I know what this "person" wants.
I've been recieving many calls that say unknown caller or caller number blocked. I don't answer those either.
They are using hardware/software to spoof (fake) the number. They are able to say what they want on the Caller ID display. Do not answer unknown calls and do not call them back. Consider getting a call blocking device (or app for your cell phone)-they're available online and start around $45. http://800notes.com/nb/search?q=call+blockers
For sure the real Gary Wayble in Canton had his phone # hacked & has changed it. I don't answer unrecognized calls & have a semi nasty msg for junk phone callers when they hit my voicemail. 3 calls to my residence; 2 to my mom's (phone there is in my name), on of which was outside of CA's "before" limit (9 AM ). None answered; no msgs left. Should you answer such a call, another good trick is to say you're off to find the asked-for person, then leave the phone off the hook until you hear the rapid beeps - only works w/land lines; presumably this joker hasn't found cell #'s.
