Same thing here, although I didn't give them enough time to establish that they were a bit. After identifying as Disabled Police and Sheriff fund I said that I don't donate over the phone and hung up.
I received a call from this number asking for money for police officers. This time I didn't answer the call didn't realize it was the same number until I read some of these posts.
Answered and got a live person asking for donations for the disabled police fund. May not be a scam but these marketing organizations for legit charities take a large percent of the donation as "fees". I told him I do not contribute to phone solicitations and he hung up.
