Mrs Gordon called and wanted me to contact her regarding " supplying charges" on my electric bills! I called back and talked to a guy! Scam! He asked me where do I live?? I'' not in Ohio /
You have to call your utility company and make sure you are on the "no solicitation" list. Is won't stop al of these calls but it will stop a,lot of them.
This is a third party utility rate company (they told me 'Censtar') that wants your business from your present utility company. They claim to be able to save you money from the rate the utility company is charging. They know nothing about you or the rate you are paying. They get your name/number from your present utility company. I called them back using *67 so they wouldn't have my number and they said they were calling 'xyz' utility customers. They didn't know my name, rate or anything else, so I have to assume the utility company sold them a mailing/calling list. I told them I wasn't interested and ended the call.
