Called twice and left a message stating that he was with the fraud and worthless check division but did not state what jurisdiction he was representing. He stated that his name was Mark Davis and he had a Michael Layton in his office and my name was brought up in the case he was working and that I needed to give him a call as soon as possible. He referenced a case number PDL 674 97 and stated that if he did not hear from me or Michael Layton he would issue the case to the District Attorney's office.
This struck me as strang is that in one breath he stated that he had this Michael Layton in his office and in the second breath stated that if he did not hear from either one of us he would push the case to the DA's office. I work in law enforcment and I cannot wait to get him on the phone to shove a couple of question at him. This is a phisher without a doubt.
Called said he was "Ricky" and was very rude when I asked Ricky from where? He's like "why it gotta be from anywhere??" He said if I confirm that I am the person he is asking for then he will tell me what it's about.
(mind you this person called my work). During the first call I told them this was a place of business and no personal phone calls. Then he called back 3 times, my assistant told him again no personal phone calls and he hung up on her.
Received call from this number. Said he was from a fraud unit and was asking about my grandchild. Said he wanted to help me from letting them place fraud charges against grandchild. Told him this was a scam and to do whatever he wanted. This happened two years ago the same thing. This call came out of Orrville, OH>
This # call my phone and my family home talking his name was rickey and he was from the fraud people and if i didn't comply they was coming to get me I call my home town police station and they said its a scam and hang up when they call back people need to stop with this stupid [***]
This # called my place of employee and said that his name was Drew Davis and that he was from the "worthless check division" case # PL 9678 to see if I wanted an attorney present. If he did not hear back from me then that meant that I waived my right.
