Over the past 3 months I've noticed a large number of presumably telemarketing/scam calls (I never answer and they never leave a message) from my own area code and exchange, plus another random four digits. So it is (XXX) YYY-[4 random numbers], where (XXX) YYY is the beginning digits of my cell and home phones, which are on different exchanges [the YYY part]. It makes it hard to identify known telemarketers because they seem to never use the same 4 digits more than once, so even if you report it on this website, no one else ever will and you won't know if it was a telemarketer, or a legitimate caller.
