I just got two offers to purchase off something off craig's list from a Mike Smith, from two different emails, same day.

He also used [email protected]  this first one did not come up on a google search.

Wow! I'm glad I Googled this guy, I got the same two messages, word by word from:
Michael Smith
Email: [email protected]

First Message:
"Do you still have this item for sale?
Get back to me asap."

When I probed him further to find out if he was in the area, I got this response:
"The price is affordable to me and i will like to see the recent
picture,so i would like you to send me your paypal email address
account for me to make the payment or send me a payment request now
and there will be no delay.

I got the same respose to an item I had posted on Craigslist.

Sound Good, I'm highly interested in it and am okay with the price & condition, i'll like to see recent pictures of the item. My mode of payment will be a certified bank check drawn on Bank Of America. the check will be delivered to you within 1-2 business days. i will wait till you receive and clear the check before i make arrangement for it to be picked-up by my private shipper. provide me your full name which the check will be payable-to, your contact address where the check will be delivered and your phone #. let me know how you will like to proceed with this and get back to me with the required information. Awaiting your reply.

He used the name Michael Smith
and his address 1451 S San Ray, Green Valley, AZ 85622.  He also said the name of his shipper is james whitfield in Dallas, TX.  I found this person to be a Podiatrist/Surgeon.
Who is this guy trying to fool?

Wow, this scam goes back a long time!  I'm selling on Craigslist and got the message below within 30 minutes of my post, from this address: Michael  Smith [[email protected]]
