I received a very rude call from someone at Equity Solution who said he was an attorney with a debt collector. He asked for my social security number and I refused. He said I was responsible for a 9 year old debt and failed to appear in court several weeks ago. He even agreed that the $4000+- debt was written off by CitiCorp several years ago when it was determined to be fraudulant but that now with penalties, interest and fees the debt was now over $55,000. When I tried to give him the name of my attorney that handled the issue in 2004, he began yelling and said that he would not talk to my attorney. After a minute of his abuses, I hung up. He called back three times. I blocked the number. Now they are calling my sister in law in another city and asking for information on my wife. The whole identity theft and fraudulant debt issue happened prior to my marriage. They have apparently compiled information from different sources and hunting down anyone that will talk to them. My sister in law is an attorney. We are compiling information to file a compaint against this rude, crude and probable criminal company. When we researched their phone numbers from the Caller ID, and found that it is a pawn shop in Ohio.

This company is a fraud. They represent themselves to be attourneys and debt collectors.
In reality they are a pawn shop trying to augment their income by buying practically worthless or worthless debts for a few pennys on the dollar then use fraudulant methods in an effort to collect debts that have been writen off or charged off by the true owners long ago. There is evidence that they actually have no legal right or authority to collect these debts and are simply raiding credit reports and attempting to gain or extort payments for debts that are actually paid off. They also appear to target older vulnerable people.
THEY ARE NOT REGISTERED AS A CORPORATION OR A DEBT COLLECTOR WITH THE STATE OF OHIO, AND THERE IS NO DATA ONLINE FOR THIS NAME AT THIS LOCATION AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN A CURIO SHOP.
Been getting calls from this number for a while. Did some research and didnt find out they are fraud. Had one today actually asking for my wife. Told him to go F himself. He calls back private number asking what side of the trailer park I grew up on and tried to tell me that Im in love with guys.... In otherwards gay..... Anyway I almost look forward to these calls now . Fun flicking it back at them.
I get a call from these guys once a month. They call both my cell and office number. I just hang up on them. They continue calling another 5 or 6 times in a row. I figured it's easier for me to hang up then for them to keep dialing. LOL
They are trying to collect on an old pay day loan that I took paid back in 2007.
I got a call from these guys. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number, plus I constantly get voice mails for the person who used to work here at this extension for collection reasons. I did a Google search of the number and found this page. The person calling me left a voice mail, it was from a guy named "Ken Carter" who was supposedly with the legal department of Equity Solutions. The man was very unprofessional sounding on the phone. A lot of "uh's" and "um's" the entire time. Made it seem like he didn't really know what he should say. He left a phone number to get back to him though. 1-888-402-6919 x 107. Google brought up this page (http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-888-402-6919) and it looks like it goes back to the Pawn Shop mentioned earlier in this thread.
