This number called our business today at 1417 hours. Caller ID said "Wakefield MA." The caller is allegedly with Fuel Oil News magazine, which is a free industry magazine. He claimed he wanted to verify our company's information. I verified the name and address (being careful not to use the word "yes") but then he wanted me name to prove "to his boss" that he spoke with someone. I provided my first name but then he wanted my last name. When I balked he said the first letter of my last name was fine. When he wanted to know the first letter of my father's last name I promptly disconnected. WTH?? Since when does a magazine need to know THAT??

I've been receiving these nuisance calls for about 2 years now. Yes, I said TWO years..... At first, I politely told them that the person they asked for no longer was at my number and to please not call me again. They repeatedly assure me that they will take my number off their call list and then, of course, the liars that they are, continue to call and harass me at my workplace. These scammers obviously have nothing better to do with their time than to constantly annoy productive employees making these kinds of useless phone calls. Get a life............. The number comes up as Broadwing Communications Llc-MA, Cambridge, MA
