Called on a Saturday morning, name given as "Unknown". After some hemming and hawing and pretending to ignore my unfriendly tone, the caller said he was calling on behalf of some cancer survivors group. Anybody in this world can claim to be anybody or anything over the phone. I quickly ended the call. Legal loophole or not, it shouldn't be so very difficult to figure out whether people on the "do NOT call" list wish to receive such calls, which are mostly, if not entirely phony anyway. Especially when the caller's name is "Unknown".
