I have seen an identification of this number as being the GeekSquad Locked&Found app of BestBuy. That makes sense to me because I signed up with them and got two text messages from this number shortly thereafter. It's a shame they don't identify themselves positively in the message instead of just giving a number, because seeing a phone's IMEI number in a message from someone else can be very startling. In fact, that's why I looked up the number, to see if anybody would identify it as some evil scheme. It doesn't seem to be, unless you regard GeekSquad as being an evil scheme.
The same thing happened to me. I was biking and have been known to inadvertently open unintended applications. But this bothered me quite a bit more.
What combination of menu items would have delivered this message? Not to mention, 3394991625 is not in my contacts making the process even more difficult
How did you find out it was geeksquad?
I'm looking it up right meow.
(Did you see what I did there? Meow instead of now. It messes people up. I have a cat. Dont judge me)
I found a report dated May 22, 2014
Geek Squad reactivating Lock n Found app.
Seems legit. My payment got messed up after my bank issued my a new debit card during that Target security scandal.
