got a call, pushed 1...asked who they were...girl rudely talked over me and said she is taking my number off the list...read my # out loud...didnt even pay attention to what i was saying so she is used to it...
fact is...when they use the word free...the consumer has every right to expect free...not a monthly charge for a service...this is federal law...they cannot use the term free and tie in a monthly fee...
they dont get it...ignorantly playing games fro minimum wage on the phone...and they dont understand they are violating consumer protection laws...including the fact that they say they are with a specific company that doesnt exist...
This number keeps calling, usually after 6pm. I answered it and it says it is with ADT Home Monitoring and if I push 1 all I have to pay is the monthly monitoring service. I waited until after the voice, waiting to see if someone would answer so I could tell them to take my name off. Since I didn't hit any number, the call disconnected.
I got this call on my cell phone at 10:54 on the morning of 12 June 2010 - a SATURDAY! I have never gotten one of these calls on a Saturday before.
The Missed Calls list on my iPhone identifies the call as being from Massachusetts.
I did not pick up. They did not leave a message.
If this is a call for mortgage refinancing, then I have no idea why the heck they are calling me - I'm 24 and am renting an apartment.
