I did too, i told them I called the IRS and there is no claim against me and I asked thme where they were calling from. They said the US and i asked what state in the US and they hung up on me.
I received this call as well from a man with a heavy accent and was told I owed 9000 dollars. When I told them they were a fraud, he said to be prepared to be arrested.
Got a call from irs saying that this was the final notice and that the irs was going to file suit on me. Left a number to call so I called it. Sounded like a telephone room in the background. The idiot on the phone could not even speak good english. I tried to question him about the "law suit" and the jerk hung up on me. I called on the internet so they would not get my correct phone number. Called about 6 or 7 times and still could not get any information from them. Just a bunch of jerks trying to scam somebody out of money.
I got a call from this number by an automated voice saying they were calling on behalf of the IRS and that this was my final notice. The purpose of the call was to inform me that the IRS was filing "lawsuit against me." Not "a lawsuit." Just "lawsuit." I called back several times and got no answer each time.
I received an automated call saying it was from the IRS, so I decided to call it back where I got some disgusting guy with a very heavy accent on the phone. He told me he would remove my number if I send him $10,000. After laughing at him and telling him I wouldn't send him one red cent, he told me he would remove my number if I "kiss him." I can't make this up. I called him every name under the sun and told him to get a real job. He said this was his real job though; which sadly, he's probably right.
