lucky for me they call my cell and I say Block this Caller!. Although I have started making complaints to the FCC. Supposedly they can be charged $500 for every call they make that's a nuisance
When they called me, I asked them what this grant is for and I told them I am already in college and am receiving a grant. They hung up on me. That seemed to do the trick because they didn't call back for weeks...but they called again today...
Well, they hope that you will fall for their scam and send them some money in hopes of receiving some sort of grant or loan. Of course here is no loan or grant and you'll have just sent them money in an untraceable Green dot money pak.
The scammers like to pick on women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the immigrant community and anyone else they think is vulnerable. If they sense vulnerability on your part they will continue to call you.
You tell 'em to go to hell and that you're reporting them to the FBI cyber crimes unit and that you know damn well it's a scam, they may back off. Or you can get a call blocker. Also never pick up on numbers you do not recognize.
