These morons called yet again, this time today at 1141 hours. When I saw the caller ID display "New York" I picked up the phone but said nothing. After a long moment, they disconnected. I hope these idiots get a disfiguring venereal disease that renders them sterile.
This number called our business today at 1023 hours. When I saw "New York" on the caller ID I knew it was very, very likely some idiot trying to convince us to get a business loan from them. (Seriously, who is desperate or dumb enough to get a loan from some stranger who cold-calls you??) I picked up the receiver slightly and put it right back down. Then, for the heck of it, I blocked my phone's info and called it back. A woman answered, "Hello?" Suuuure they're a legitimate business. When I didn't respond she told me they were trying to get a hold of the business owner and then asked, "Is that you?" I told her that they don't even answer the phone with a business name so they're obviously not a legitimate business and added, "F%#@ off!" before slamming the phone back down. So, yeah, it's a scam artist. Basically every call we get from a "New York" phone number has been a persistent idiot trying to scam us into a business loan. They often call multiple times a day and from different phone numbers but it's always the same stupid thing. You'd have to be brain-dead to do business with a person who doesn't answer the phone with a business name - not even a made-up one, calls from a phone number whose information is blocked "for privacy reasons," and calls multiple times a day and/or many times a week because they're too stupid to get a clue or a legitimate job apparently.
