I have recieved phone calls from him for 2 days now. He uses three different names and he was telling me that I was being charged with fraud from a payday loan company that I never used. He has a very strong indian accent and he was very rude to me. He says he is an attorney from First State Attorneys Office and that the local police department are going to come and pick me up from work and arrest me for fraud. If I send him $343 by Friday, a copy of my license, and my social security number then the charges would be dropped. I believed all this at first and I lost sleep for 2 days. I want this guy to pay, who would I call to get him in trouble or will it be too hard to track him because he's probably using a prepaid phone or something?
I got the same call, both on my cell and at work. You cant understand the caller but he says he is an attorney and if i dont pay now i will go to jail.
My husband received a call from this number (347-468-9569) and it was basically the same story "Indian Accent male telling him that he has 1 hour to pay $598 or a sheriff will be picking him up at work tomorrow and taking him to the judge for a not paying a payday loan." We were really scared for a few hours and spent an hour online looking the company up, scams, payday loans, and even the phone number. Obviously this is a scam but my real reason for posting this is to say Thank You to those who have posted scams like this. If it wasn't for seeing all of these postings, we would not know if it was a scam and would have never slept thinking he was going to jail or would have paid. That's a scary threat and its sad that people need to steal from hardworking Americans and anyone at that.
